COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We kicked it up a notch with our Bolshevik Bastard Imperial Stout, aging it in Kentucky Bourbon barrels. The rich chocolate, coffee and dark fruit flavours from our Imperial Stout are married together with the vanilla, oak and warming alcohol from bourbon barrels. Together as one, the result is an incredible blend of aroma and taste. Drink it today, or cellar it to enjoy later as it matures. Formerly 12%.

750ml bottle (RBESG2017 Grand Tasting) (4:4:4:3:8=2.3)
Fucking hot aroma. Taste is mostly booze burn. Second to that there’s mostly sugar. A terrible boozy mess. This doesn’t come from barrel aging - they must have chucked a few bottles of bourbon in this.

Marduk (8061) - Reval, ESTONIA - AUG 15, 2017
750ml bottle (RBESG Grand Tasting 2017). Pitch black color. Tiny size, brown head, stays. Copper, metallic, alcohol, roast, woody, caramel in aroma. Liver, sour, roast, woody, copper in taste. Roast and more liver in aftertaste. This liver covers alcohol. Just kidding it doesn’t! Booze is everywhere. But not a disaster. Drinkable brew.

mjs (7510) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 22, 2017
(Sample from a bottle at RBESG 2017 Grand Tasting) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, wood and vanilla. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, vanilla, wood, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste had wood, vanilla and bitterness. A bit boozy but otherwise good imperial stout.
