UPDATED: OCT 18, 2016 Light citrus on the nose. I get more citrus, a bit of lemon zest, some tropical fruit and a dollop of sweetness. Nicely balanced.

(bottle) hazy tan colour with a small white head; aroma of citrus, candy; weak, balanced flavour, no finish Randy4Beer (513) - - JAN 23, 2015
A murky amber pour with a very active thick white head.
Aromas are very light citrus. Some peach and faint mild tangerine.
Mouthfeel is thin and watery. Tastes are similar to aromas. Maybe a very light caramel finish.
I take partial blame for this one as Nickel Brook said DO NOT AGE! on the bottle, and I sat on it for a few months, but I have the feeling that even fresh, this was far from a spectacular brew. Have to score it based on what I am drinking. It is what it is. RhetoricalAns (939) - Red Deer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 11, 2015
750 mL bottle. Hazy gold pour, medium off-white head, some residual lacing. Fairly mild aroma, what is there is tropical fruit, floral hops. Taste has a thin malt base, a little sweet, some hoppiness throughout. Overall was a a bit weak in flavour for me.

750ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario. Hazy golden yellow in colour with a very thin white head, light lacing. The aroma is quite hoppy, a bit tropical, some pale malts. The flavour is only lightly hoppy, more sweetness, floral. Lightly sweet mouthfeel, light body, mild carbonation. Finishes fairy quick. Rather boring. A huge letdown for me. Was expecting a more hoppy beer for sure. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 12, 2014
[6174-20140208] Bottle. Bitter grainy pine hops aroma. Clear, orange brown body with a long-lasting foamy white head. Grainy bitter hops flavour. Bitter medium body is fairly smooth. Good. (7/3/7/3/15) 3.5 probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 21, 2014
750 ml bottle from LCBO, served cool in a tulip glass. 04OC14Gorbalev (3000) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 21, 2014
App.: Clear bright golden with a thin white head.
Aroma: A little citrus, floral, definitely smells like fresh, leafy hops, a bit spicy, limited biscuit malt aroma.
Palate: Medium-ish body, moderate effervescence.
Flav.: The hops are a little less citrusy, more leafy/spicy, light floral flavours, reasonable biscuit malt support, a touch earthy, not bad; dry with moderate bitterness and a fairly clean, lightly citrusy finish.
Bottle, Embrun LCBO. Hazy gold, some remnants of a bubbly white head. Nice lemon and orange citrus aroma - grassy as well. Fresh and almost minty. Taste is nice - bright citrus fruit taste, light body - very light actually - clean, short finish, super drinkable. No gimmicks - this is what a west hop ale should be - right on style with the fresh hops making the better better and unique. Well done Nickel Brook and well done high quality Ontario hops! manuelMTL (240) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 20, 2014
From 750 ml bottle in camping mug during a snowy winter camping trip. Can’t describe color. Persisting off white frothy head. Nose is strong fresh hops. Lots of passion fruit, mango and citrus. Nice sweetness. Taste is bubble gum and almost like medicine. Pleasant sweetness. Light body. Tasty beer with a fruity hop profile. Overall a bit watery though.
