On tap at barhop. Hazy straw pour, thin white head. Aroma of yeast, lemon, pepper, a little grass. Smooth and light. Light carbonation. Nice balance. Not enough pepper for the billing (almost undetectable as far as I can tell), but still a nice variation and true to the style. Very drinkable.

Tap, pours a clear golden, aroma is spicy and flavour is spicy a bit herbal floral, the szechuan spice did come through very lightly, it had a bit of a zip but it was nice

Draught at ’The Rhino Summer Beer Festival 2013’. Pours a hazy deep gold with a spare diminishing bubbly white head. Aroma is yeasty, herbal and citrusy along with a bit of spice. Flavour is spicy and herbal along with yeast and citrus. Average to medium bodied. I didn’t get much more spice then their usual Saison but regardless, this is pretty good.

Pale straw colour. Thick white head. The nose is citrusy and spicy. A bit of clove and spice. Juicy citrus and white pepper. Citra and a bit of cat pee aroma. Lovely.

Ok, but a little thin on palate. The Szechuan peppercorn didn’t make my tongue numb, to be certain. Just a light, average saison. I liked their paysan a lot more than this. Has some bubblegum. Pours orange clear with not much head or lacing. Tap at Rhino summerfest.

2013-07-14. Hazy golden orange body small white head. Aroma is lightly peppery, lightly grassy hops. Flavour is pleasantly lemony, lightly bitter, lingering. Average bodied palate, modest carbonation. Enjoyable, pretty simple take on the style. At Rhino Summer Beer Festival, Toronto

On cask at The Rhino Summer Fest. Spiced aroma. Cloudy yellow. Low carbonation and understated spiciness works well as a cask making it nicely drinkable.

A hazed golden saison with a thin white head. In aroma, a regular saison with banana, cloves and light pepper. In mouth, good saison with fruity banana, cloves and some hot peppers, smooth and fragrant.
