Draught at One Pint Pub, thanks TBone! Dark murky brown, tiny beige yet firm head. Nose is caraway, candi sugar, sweet rye bread, some roasty notes, very sweet and spicy. Flavor has lots of yeastiness, alcohol, cellar & caraway, roasty maltiness and little menthol in the finish. A bit stuffy and drier than the aroma, the sweetness would fit in here. Interesting if anything. bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 14, 2009

Dark nutty brown color, small creamy beige head. Sweet dish cleanser aroma plus some caramel and cocoa. Some caramel, alcohol, grassy hops, cocoa. Quite flat. Simple although unique barley wine.
Bottled. A deep red beer with a bit of sediment floating around under a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, over ripe fruits, and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and light noter notes of coffee and fruit, leading to a dry finish where the coffee note lingers.
