4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
33cl on draught
My 100th rating and a tribute to Charles, of the Demervallei, for all the help and advise he has given me in achieving this 100 ratings. Thanks Charles!
Pours a dark black color with a beige creamy bubble head.
The aroma has a great amount of chocolate, roasted malts, dark fruits, dark sugar and gentle hops. The palate is full with a malts, fruits, a dry hoppy bitter finish and a long chocolate aftertaste.
A great housebeer for a great pub and a magnificent desert beer!

Tasted at Brasserie Demervallei, Aarschot. Almost black with a smallish tan head. Pleasantly malty and somewhat spicy-hints of licorice and caramel, definitely well-balanced. Semi-dry, slightly roasted finish. A nice, definitely unconventional tripel. A worthy house beer of the splendid beer café.
