Bottle thx to benzai. Slightly hazy orange, golden colour with a small white head. Smells herbs, green twigs and malts. Mostly herbs i dont like. Tastes malty, fresh, some iron.. Not bad! Quite decent taste, nothing very special or complex. Good carbo, thin to medium body.

(33cl bottle thanks to bu11zeye) clear amber, film that lasts of creamy tan head. Nose of olives, funky, caramel, and Belgian yeast. It’s a bit spicy, has a creamy body, prickly carbonation and decent linger.

Stubby bottle at home. Poured into a tulip. ABV 5.8% Very deep orange colour on thebody, clear, with a big enough white head sitting on top. Good retention, light lacing on the glass. Aroma of grains, nuts, light malts. Sweet malty taste, again very nutty, hay, bread. Medium thin body, good carbonation, seems a bit high at moments. Overall okay, nothing special.

3.2
Alengrin (5718) - BELGIUM - OCT 3, 2014
Amber ale since 2009 from Nieuwhuys in Hoegaarden, with yellowish white, coarse head and orangey amber colour with medium fizz. Fruity character, peach, coriander, caramelly and nutty malts, mild herbal hop bitterishness in the finish. Rather unremarkable but balanced.
