2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Hazy amber liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of wheat, cooked vegetables, caramel, mango and pepper. Taste is dry and light bitter with notes of cooked vegetables, corn and caramel. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Meh.
Draught at the original location, years ago, though I never got around to rating it and it seems to be now retired (as are alot of their originals...which is a shame). AirForceHops (7913) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 17, 2015
Lightly hazy apricot-golden beer has an off-white head atop that shows moderate retention.
Honey fermentation in the nose produces like waxiness and some perfume, with peppery phenolics and a strong honey blossom-like character. Don’t get the green tea in the nose, nor much Belgian character, though there’s a touch of light bubble gum and a hint of clove.
A bit sweet up front, with caramel and honey flavors being quite prominent. Some acidity from the yeast emerges, with dryness from the wheat and light pepper notes. A bit of vegetal character is the extent of the tea that I get (I always find tea hard to locate in a beer). Sticky, chewy, almost syrupy texture and somewhat alcoholic finish is a little less than ideal.
750 ml bottle purchased at Redstone Liquors in Stoneham, MA. Oh my dear god that is floral! Pretty big tea leaf hints as well. Travlr (26288) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 30, 2014
The flavor has mild Belgain yeast and some traces of fruit but honestly no joke... This is mostly green tea with a strong herbal character that lingers after the sip. Body is medium with some substantial amount of yeast or malt chewy full density. I would like this more if the tea was dial down a bit and the yeast and yeast was able to shine through a tad more then they do. Maybe more astringent then it should be.
Bus beer. Hazy golden color, small white head. Aroma of herbal lemon and honey. Taste is herbal citrus. Not bad. jackl (8454) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 24, 2014
Bottle shared on the bus during RBWG, Asheville. Soupy amber pour with a small head. Definite accents of smoked tea. Fruity esters, Belgian yeast character. The taste is moderately herbal. Honeyed grass and mountain meadow. Light citrus and leftovers from the spice rack. Medium body, soft carbonation. Weird. alexsdad06 (10977) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - MAR 23, 2014
Bottle sample at RBWG. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet citrus, herbal green tea, some floral notes especially on the nose, the flavor did have some medicinal notes, some honey. I didn’t think it was as bad as some did, but it wasn’t great either.

Bottle from Mass. Pours a murky brown Hugh with white head, not the prettiest beer. Aroma is a bit spicy, probably from the tea leaves, got a Belgium aroma to it. I now read the label - Belgium wheat ale - ok. Taste is surprisingly mild, mix of sweetness, herbal, and Belgium yeast. certainly interesting. Worth a try. Taster at the source. Pours amber with a big beige head. Aroma is green tea juicy fruit gum and caramel. Flavors are caramel, orange, honey, wheat. Finish tastes like a less sweet juicy fruit gum. Hides 8.1% fairly well. phaleslu (10750) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 20, 2014
750 ml bottle shared on the RBWG bus. Pours a hazy orange-gold with a small off-white head. Very floral nose, with some herbs, grass, tea, and a big dose of honey. The flavor is mostly the same. Very tea-like in its floral-honey balance. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth, sweet, tea-like mouthfeel. Pretty good and interesting. GT is wrong. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - FEB 19, 2014
Lightly hazed amber pour with off white head and lace. Aroma is fruity esters and honey. Spicy pepper and honey flavor. A tad thin and watery. pretty good DrSilverworm (9672) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 18, 2014
Tasted during RBWG, thanks to whomever shared this 750ml bottle! Mostly hazy amber orange color. Nice thin off-white head. Good dots of lace. Nice honey, floral nose. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation, more dry finish. Light sweet taste, kind of citrusy zesty. Solid honey ale, tasty stuff.
