COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
After a six month slumber on red wine and brandy barrels, the Jester stirs, ready for guile and play. His voice is light, his humor dry, his music wild and merry. He wears a costume made of leather, plays a fiddle made of oak, and juggles whimsically with pineapple fruit. He’s the Jester - he refreshes, perplexes, entertains, and delights.

I love supporting these guys, especially since they make great, local beer. This one is no exception - solid use of Bretts in parallel with a heavy use of pineapple ensures this is a refreshing yet still tart and somewhat spicy ale. Pours a deep yellowish orange with light tan lacings that dissipates quickly; tangy, pineapple nose blended with grass, wheat, and other dry fruit; body is tangy, fruity, and light, perhaps a bit too light though - definitely a spring-into-summer type ale; finish is pineapple and slightly tart.

Cette blonde aux arômes et saveurs de médicaments et/ou de fournitures médicales n’est certainement pas dans ce que je préfère lorsque je débouche une bière. Facile de faire du n’importe quoi quand on vogue sur un certain hype.

4.22.2013. 2 ounces at tasting. Aroma: acetic notes, oxidated notes, light citrus. App: cloudy golden, minimal white head, no lacing. Taste and palate: light to medium body, light sweetness, astringent weird finish. Overall: ouf. This is just not good. The mouthfeel is really unpleasant. If I could 0 out of 5 for the palate I would sure give it. Really unpleasant. Bad. Probably didn’t age well.

Taster at the source. Pours cloudy yellow gold with a pure white head. Aroma is brett, dried pineapple. Taste is light and wheaty, with brett, faint pineapple, cider, a touch of pepper in the finish.

Big cork pop. Pool water, bright citrus, pineapple, Brett, saison-y. A bit of chlorine. Finishes lactic, yeasty, not particularly clean.

Pours a rich golden color with two fingers of slightly sticky foam. The nose has some bright sweet pineapple right upfront that slowly fades into a horseblanket slightly nail polish astringency. The palate follows the nose with some fruity yeast esters, pineapple sweetness and acetone... slightly rubbery. Not feeling this one. Very disjointed but I applaude the concept.
