COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Maybe you’ve heard of black IPAs and white IPAs, but how about a pink IPA? Loaded with citrusy hops, dry-hopped with even more, and infused with hibiscus flowers, JoJo packs a tropical, refreshing punch. To those curious, its namesake is our former shared home & homebrewing origin on Josephine Ave in Somerville, or as we endearingly termed it, “JoJo.”

Pours pink with a nice head, so mission accomplished with the hibiscus. However, the hibiscus doesn't really add much flavor but seems to mute the hops with its earthy, flowery aroma. Not very bitter and not very hoppy for an American ipa ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 bottle-white head with yellow/gold color. A-floral/citrus, yeast. T-floral/some citrus hops, bready-lt malt.

what an odd beer. very carbed, big bubbles, with a bite that hits the tip of your tongue right off the bat, like seltzer water. weird.

Pours cherry-colored and with little head from a 750ml bottle. Mine here is 2 months old and the aroma is hoppy but almost with a berry-like hint -- perhaps the color is throwing me off. This is a strange one and has elements of chalk on the palate which is off-putting. The taste is bitter yet nearly balanced -- good. Work on this one, and I think you may have a real winner.

Deep pink in color. Wow this is bitter. Overly bitter. I would like a little more balance but it’s tasty beyond the bitterness.

Bottle. Pink pour with white head. Light spice, hop and hibiscus aromas. Citrus, hop, hibiscus flavors, very smooth.

Bottle. Pink tinged huge fluffy head. Aroma is pungent floral, bit of spice, some Brett funk, citrus zest. Flavor is clean long bitter, light dusty grain sweetness. Dry, fresh, soft. More than the sum of its parts. Really enjoyable.

joet (2604) - Wilsonville, Oregon, USA - JUN 4, 2014
Pink lightly cloudy fine white foam floral and cereal aroma rosey bitter. Bitter finish. Would be nicer with less bitterness and maybe better beta acids. Tasty and fun.

Bottle. Pours pinkish red with white head. Nose/taste of hibiscus, grapefruit peel, light resinous pine, cranberry and light malt. Lighter medium body.

Very impressive color on this beer. Ruby red with a slight amber tinge to it. Interesting nose. Not overly hoppy, some floral character. Finishes bitter. Unique.

At Jacob’s with group. Pour is neon clear orange. Aroma is light and clean floral and earthy hops. Taste is light bitterness, sweet orange earthy bitterness. A nice light ipa.
