Can drunk 4/23/16.
Quite hazy peach-copper body has light blonde hues as well. White head slowly falls to cover.
Much like recent batches, it’s very fruity-juicy in the nose, being quite New Englandy in style. Some pine and grapefruit do assert themselves here and to that end, it comes off as more a west coast IPA. Citra are quite stinky/catty, but not to the point that I dislike it, or feel the hops weren’t fresh. Just an acquired/polarizing taste. Malts are very attenuated, seemingly, and provide light bread at most, with mainly cracker and cereal. No alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth, the citra comes out quite boldy, adding lemon, vegetal, spicy notes and very light cat. The topaz creates lots of juiciness and mango-like "sweetness" while the c-hops predictably skew the beer towards pine/grapefruit. Moderate to light bitterness, however, and nothing resinously obnoxious here. Maybe a bit too twangy/punchy but still juicy, soft and drinkable.
