Pours very hazy orange with a creamy off-white head. Intense citrus rind and coniferous notes. Smooth body, soft carbonation, mellow bitterness and a very melony finish, really tasting like chewing on honeydew melon with a touch of fresh mint. Very neat IPA. hopscotch (11527) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 6, 2016
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2018 Can... Pours cloudy and yellow with a brief, wispy, white head. The aroma features resiny, dank and cracked-peppery hops. There’s an odd little note of beef bouillon in here as well. Medium-bodied with soft carbonation. The flavor provides a medium to heavy measure of resiny bitterness and a modest level of fruity tanginess. Tongue-numbing finish. 16 oz. can. Hazy orange. Big white head. Smells of pine and some sharp fruit aromas. Acidic orange like blood orange or something. Tastes a little less bright. Orange up front. Toasty malt flavor. Turns into grapefruit and pine. Medium body. The El Dorado kicks back in in the finish and keeps it interesting. ClarkVV (7141) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 3, 2016
Canned 5/16/16, drunk 5/22/16.
Moderately-to-heavily hazy golden-bronze body shows a strong, creamy, white head atop.
Big pineapple and mango from the Vic Secret thankfully ward off the potentially heavy lemony-twang from the El Dorado. Comes off very juicy, as usual, clean and with more honey-like apparency from the malt, than usual. Very nicely balanced, with soft, dank, hop notes lingering on the end and a bevy of lighter yellow fruits (nectarine, apricot, etc...). No alcohol/flaw/resin.
Very, very soft, nearly slick texture from the oats and malt, with tight, ample carbonation and good attenuation. Clean throughout and very juicy, with some minor acidity/resin on the finish but nothing that builds up on the palate. Another strong batch.
