Canned 6/17/16, drunk 7/4/16. Medium haziness throughout this drab, copper-brass body. White head is full and well-retained. Tangy juiciness shows off the brighter citrus character, probably more of the comet and galaxy than the citra, though there is that light sweaty/dusty lemon at times. Pineapple, mango and lime all add the tell tale NE IPA juice character and there’s a soft vanilla-honey maltiness behind it, mixing with cracker-like dry/graininess as well. There’s just a touch of ash dampening the nose, but it’s otherwise pretty fantastic, as has been the case with this series for some time now. Strong, zesty citrus rind and acidic-tinged juiciness emanate from lots of tangerine, lime and pineapple. Sweeter mango emerges with warming and as the base malt mixes with hop notes. Tight carbonation and a malty to crackery/grainy texture with no alcohol or flaw. Maybe just a touch too much citrus zip/tanginess, but still pretty lovely and very low on the resin.
