4 pack from the brewery, canned and drunk the day of, 8/11/16. Large, well-retained, white head tops a very hazy, blonde-brass-golden body. While I was blown away by One Hop This Time: Topaz, I wouldn’t say I’d expect much from cascade and motueka additions, but just goes to show how unpredictable mixing hops is. This is about as juicy as it gets, with a perfect blend of tropical and citrus fruit and even a spicy/peppery edge to it as well. As usual, the biscuity-crackery malts stay in the background and the beer is clean and alcohol-free. Intensely soft, juicy, malty and yet well-attenuated, I think this is right up there with their best batches. A plethora of tropical fruits are complemented by the orange-grapefruit of cascade, with just enough assertive bitterness but no big grapefruit/pine resin. Tight carbonation, a malty texture and explosively juicy flavors lingering long, with no alcohol or flaw. So damned good.
