Canned 8/26/16 (obviously), drunk 9/5/16.
Moderately hazy, brass-golden body is topped by a medium-sized head with modest retention.
Very dank and "tight" are the aromas, much like the One Hop This Time Equinox I just had from them. Light sweat/cat, lots of lemon, more funk and a strong lime-guava character. Malts add light honey and biscuit in the background and there’s no resin or harassment from any dominating grapefruit/pine. It definitely takes a little while, but with warming/breathing, the aroma opens up really nicely, providing juicier notes and less funk/sweat from the citra. Pineapple and light mango manifest pretty strongly, with more lemon lingering. No alcohol or flaw.
Juicy, heavy pineapple in the mouth, with lemon and orange rind and a bitter, grapefruit-laden finish that is softened significantly by the comforting, yet well-attenuated malts. Had the unfortunate fate of following Tree House’s Pride & Purpose, but held its own quite well.
