on tap-big tan-brown. A-spice, chocolate-med malt. T-spice (ok, ginger), chocolate-med malt, some earthy/wood hops. Med body. HonusWagner (2208) - Florida, USA - APR 28, 2013
Whatever. Kinda spicy, somewhat chocolatey, but underwhelming considering how much I love Taza chocolate. mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - MAR 10, 2013
Unusual stout. Slightly bitter. Spicy notes. Quite thin for a stout. Coffee undertone with a hint of chocolate, which lingers. If I had to guess, I would call this a porter more than a stout. If it were a character in a play, a puritanical New Englander. A very good porter, as a stout, not bad -- unusual but complex.

this is wiener drizzle .. . pours a dark brown black .. . mild head, alright lacing .. . mild chocolate, cooking chocolate (regular and burnt), and mild roast .. . mild belgian yeast feel .. . doesn’t it help to be a hot woman or a fat black guy Leighton (21839) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 23, 2013

750ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown almost black with pretty much no head. Very thin palate and not alot of flavors other than the ginger and maybe a hint of coffee. Definitely not anything special but it was kind of interesting and it went well with the stir fry we had for dinner. Lubiere (14110) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 7, 2012
A brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a sweet soapy and beany mal. In mouth, a nice dark roasted malt with light treacle and roasted notes, maple wood, not bad. On tap at Somerville Summerfest, July 14, 2012.

Pours opaque, black as night with a quickly diminishing light brown head. Aroma is dominated by ginger. After many attempts to find something other than ginger,I just can’t. The slight spice from the ginger is pleasant. Remind me of Dogfish Heads Chicory stout with ginger added. I like the creativity of this beer, but i think it should be a little more balanced. This could be a very interesting beer to pair with Asian food. bmerz (741) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - JUN 24, 2012
Bottled 5-6 weeks ago. Deep brown with almost no head or lace. Thin but nice aroma of soy, chili, cocoa, lactic sourness. Flavor is earth, soy, lactic tart, chicory coming through strongly. Mouth feel is thin and somewhat "belgian" with a oily body that carries the sour and spiciness for a good bit. This is a comforting stout with a few added dimensions. I like it. dmac (6392) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - APR 13, 2012
750ml bottle shared by Jimmie, thanks man. Poured a god looking pitch black body with a smaller foamy biege head. Aroma is not very good, somewhere between a combination of ginger, soy sauce, earth and bad choclate. The body is medium with stronger carbonation. Flavor of ginger flavored chocolate, grassy, burnt notes. Meh.
