COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Nice brown color with red highlight, tan head. Aroma is bourbon, lots of bourbon. Vanilla, caramel, booze. Taste is huge barrel, some beer detectable, but quite boozy-hot, a bit tart. Silky mouthfeel, some chewiness. Nice, but needs more balance, it’s got way too much barrel and not enough beer character.

Had this with 10,7% ABV. Bottle looks really, really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, small head. Intense malty-alcoholic aroma. Starts very strong, sharp, quite alcoholic. Roasty notes, modest spicy-woody. Finish still very strong, alcoholic. Goes down burning. Not a every-day beer. But okay.

* 75cl for 13,49€. Röstmalzig-dickflüssiger Dunkler Bock. Intensiv, Trockenpflaumen, Schokolade. Dabei eine sehr interessant angenehme Vanille-Burbon-Note. Holzige Anklänge, trotzdem leicht und fruchtig. Ein bisschen alkoholisch. Tolle Vanille mit dunklem röstigen Bock. Fantastisch!

Corked bottle. Dark brown color. Malt, caramel, roast, vanila, chocolate and bourbon in the complex aroma. Malty sweet caramelly alcoholic flavor. Vanilla, red fruit, bourbon. Raw around the edges but pleasant.

750 ml bottle as Nikl-Bräu Bourbon Bock 2013. #365/400. BB 23/04/2018. Thanks to Timo A! Clear amber colour with a tiny off-white head. Jägermeister and cough medicine in the aroma. The flavour is berries, tartness, herbs and some red wine. No good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0.75 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Dark amber color. Pungent smoky and oaky aroma with Islay type peat smoke, tar, vanilla. Sweet, tart, tarry, peaty and smoky flavor. Somewhat surprisingly, tastes more like a Islay whisky than bourbon, lots of peat, iodine and tar. Interesting to analyze bot not so tasty.
