Courtesy of omhper. Pours ruby red with sparse carbonation. Smells of oranges, some yeast, raisins, some rosey perfume. Tastes of spice, dark fruit, some maple, sugar, and peppery. Mouthfeel is thick and oily. Finish is of holiday spices. Cloves peak out at the very end. Nice. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 31, 2007
Another bottle from Per’s reserves. Tak! Dark caramel coloured ale with minimal head. Well structured malts provide flowing caramel notes. A rather fruity one with earth coated raisins, milk coffee, figs and pear flavors, mild pepper spiciness. Fairly nutty flavor profile as well, followed by a fitting, but considerable dose of bittering hops, quite leafy and earthy. Not the most defined beer, seems a little shy at this point and I don’ think age will help on that. Less opened than previous NO Jülol. Still a rather active carbonation, medium-full palate, smooth, but uniform and very active bubbles. Emil (6065) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 22, 2007

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2007 Bottle. Lots of dark fruit notes, yet it isn’t overly sweet. Caramel comes through aswell, dark fruit, and also some lightly citric hops in the finish. Really pleasant and with a decent lingering bitter finish. Nice.

Deep reddish colour with an off white head. Malty, caramel sweet aroma with notes of dark fruit. Malty, fruity sweet flavor with a spicy note and a light bitter finish. Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - NOV 13, 2006
Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2006. Reddish brown color with small head. The aroma is sweet, malty, biscuity, nutty, caramelly and toffeish with hints of melon. The flavor is sweet and bisquity with some caramel. The maltiness is good but this is too sweet. sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 29, 2008
(Bottled) Hazy, darkish red-amber with a small, tanned head. Port-raisiny aroma with lots of dried, dark fruit and cardamom spiciness. Flavor of chocolate cake, dark fruit and some caramely-malty sweetness. Medium body with soft, lowish carbonation. At 2 years, this is probably close to its peak. A nice and christmasy brew with nice dark-dried fruitiness. Grovlam (4252) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 23, 2007
Bottle. Head was small and slightly off-white creamy. Color was brown with a clear sparkling body. Aroma was raisin, prune, fruit, caramel, rye bread, almond, licorice. Some Christmas spice can also be detected in nose and mouth. Medium boded with a soft carbonation and light alcohol texture. Flavor was mostly sweet, but light notes of bitterness balances this one. Nice sweet finish. Great Christmas beer. thomat (3930) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 11, 2006
