Expect the unexpected. Oily with lemon and herbs. Malty, bready and moderate bitterness. Thin body. I’m not sure exactly what I had expeced when poured this brew into my glass but not this. dornoy (701) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 16, 2007
Off-white head on a dark red-brown body. Has a comfortable, filling taste, very well suited for cold Scandinavian Winter days. Hints of caramel and nskomed malt. Perfec ndrink with a warm evening meal. charlotte (5382) - rødovre, DENMARK - NOV 5, 2007
Nut brown colour with medium head.Taste of caramel and tobaco slight malty and smoked flavor.differant from other X-mas beers. thewolf (12590) - Kolding, DENMARK - OCT 31, 2007
Bottle, bought @ SuperBrugsen Bramdrupdam. Pours a depp dark red-ish brown with a small, slightly fizzy off white head that lasts only a short time. Aroma is deep with lots of burnt caramel, herbs, liqourice and slight spices. Lively but full mouthfeel. Flavour is powerful, with a good roasted caramel edge to it. Some smokyness and a good background of chocolate balanced nicely with Christmas spices that are very well subdued. Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - OCT 31, 2007
Clear dark amber beer with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is indeed a little strange, something roasted, toasted, fruity... perhaps dry roasted lemon peel would be like this? The flavour comes together much better. Roasted and dry, slightly astringent malt.

Bottle. Pours a nice orange-brownish colour with a medium well lasting beige head. Soft aroma of roasted malt, some spices and dark fruits. The flavour has a soft toasty maltiness, some dark fruits and spices, caramel and hops. Roastish bitter finish with a slight citrus touch. A good Christmas brew but the Julöl is better though. yngwie (17049) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 27, 2007
Bottle. A bit hazy body, golden-orange color, and with a beige head. There’s a strange aroma with caramel and fruits, put I couldn’t pin it. The flavor is more pleasant, with caramel, hops, roasted malt and a little grainy note. Medium, quite sticky mouthfeel, and a grainy and fruity finish. I had some expectations for this one, but they weren’t fullfilled. I found it a bit strange, certainly drinkable, but not too successful. Light orange with a beige head. Citric peel and salt in aroma. Fruity and salty tones. Medium to light body with a metallic finish. Quite a disappointment.

Clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is pretty malty, lots of grainy, toasty notes. Flavour is a little sweet, lots more bready, toasty things as well as some greenish citric hops. Doesn’t really scream "Swedish christmas" to me, but it ticks the boxes for a decent beer... something that Nils Oscar seem to have down pat.
