Red-golden with a nice, creamy head. The aroma has roasted malt and a bit of aroma hops. The flavour has a nice malty profile with loads of roasted malt, notes of caramel, a bit of aroma hops and a nice citrussy bitter finish. It’s a nice christmas beer. 1859

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Quite nice. clean flavours of nuts, toffee/caramel, tosty caramel and soft citric hops. On the sweet side. I found this very drinkable indeed, even though it was quite light.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUN 21, 2006 Best before Feb 06 from Engelsmann consumed on 6/11/06.
Large, very well retained head is foamy, buttercream colored and laces somewhat. Clear ruby-auburn body is unfiltered and amazingly experimental for a lager.
Flavor is underattenuated and very caramel-malted. Sweet, sticky and decadent, I was expecting a Marzen and got this Swedish/German strong ale. So in summary I’m going to give it a 2.8 default and message omhper for advice on this one.
