Amber with long lasting head. Crystal malt and sulphur aroma from their own maltings comes through a great deal. Also so in taste, unfortunately. This has almost turned into a big brewery beer, with veggies and dull aftertaste. Quite a disappointment. It used to be a very good beer.
Bottle. Very nice hop aroma, and quite malty. Toffee colour, small head. Malty flavour. Also a little sweet in a way that could be characterized as christmassy. But not enough alcohol to really make me happy. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 24, 2005
Thanks to sk8viking for this one! 33cL bottle BB 03/05. Clear reddish-amber pour with a nice cap of creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel malt, fresh floral hops, and a pleasant nuttiness provide a very pleasing aroma. Medium nutty-malty backbone and very smooth on the palate. Really good feel from this one. Flavor picked up most of the aroma, as well as some light woody notes. Wish it was just a little heavier on the flavor, but very good Oktoberfest all around. (Bottle 33 cl) Amber or almond coloured with a creamy, lasting head. Very, very aromatic from the top quality hops which are characteristic of Nils Oscar. Notes of dry sherry. Very distinct bitterness - and very delicious indeed. 210202 Storm (2684) - Amager, DENMARK - JUN 27, 2005
33 cl. bottle. Dark brown/red colour, little head, with sweet and caramel aroma. Too much bitterness in the end of the taste, but a good easy drinking christmas beer.

Dark copppery color, little vanishing beige head. Rich aroma indeed: toffee, chocolate, mildly nutty, notes of hops. Flavor has nuts, chocolate and lasting dryness with hops and chocolate. Flavor is mildly thinner than aroma, still excellent. Medium bodied. DrBeer (862) - Solna Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 6, 2005
Orange-brown with red tones.
Malty aroma with notes of hops and orange-chocolate. Roasted.
Bitter, harsh flavor with notes of forest and orange-chocolate. Roasted. Maltsweet. joergen (28982) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 3, 2005
Golden colour with off white head.
Sweet spicy aroma with fruity notes.
Malty flavour with lots of sweetness and notes of spices, well balanced bitterness. PrimeMinister (138) - Quebec, CANADA - JAN 25, 2005
A subtle and sweet dolor.
To resist such appropriate color.
As I observe this generous head.
And wonder what else should be said.
Perhaps best not to verbose.
As good bitterness invades my nose.
And malt flavors tease me gently.
Oktoberfest it is undoubtfully.
As this beer is quite lagerish.
Dry is well in the finish.
I guess I have been quite foolish.
To think "What good could be swedish?"
And yet another good dose.
Of a finely bottled prose.
So for this exact matter.
I thank Eructoblaster!

Bottle. Amber colour with off-white head. Sharp aroma with malt and caramel. A bit sugary. Malty, smoked flavour.
