Rich brown clear body, with a beige head that fades to a skim.Salt toffee and date aroma.Toffee prunes and date flavours. Full bodied and fruity, slick mouthfeel, bitter finish.Nice Beer, and a bargain at this price. 23/03/2013: I have had the opportunity to sample a few more bottles, and this is best served chilled. It reminds me of Brewdog Punk IPA, but with some toffee in the flavour. I have grown to love it, an have raised the taste mark and the overall enjoyment mark to reflect this.Still 49p at B&M. Less than £1 for more than a pint. screwball (1099) - Motala, SWEDEN - NOV 20, 2004
Red amber in colour. Sweet toffee aroma. Ohh, I like it already! Has a malty and complex feeling. Intresting burnt taste from the malt. Strong and salty. bark (255) - Linköping, SWEDEN - DEC 6, 2004
Bottle. The colour is dark red with a tint of copper; the fast dissolving foam is pale beige. Eructoblaster (4454) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 21, 2004
The smell is sweet, malty, a little burned and bitter; some sour notes, crisp bread and a just perceptible touch of tar.
The carbonation is soft and gentle (but not at all staled). The mouthfeel is fresh and balanced.
The taste is somewhat sweet and compound. It is very malty with a burned flavour and a touch of crisp rye bread. It is quite light in taste, but there is a nice balance and a robust body. The rather short aftertaste is also malty and balanced with a good body, a soft bitterness and a sourish touch.
I found this being a fine, sweeter Märzen.
Nice amber body topped with a good off-white creamy head. Good malty aroma with sweet and fruity (apples, cherries, grapes) aroma. Complex hoppy/malty taste with herbal and sweet notes. Finish is long and bitter. Very interesting product. joergen (29611) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 3, 2005

Thanks to sk8viking for this one! 33cL bottle BB 03/05. Clear reddish-amber pour with a nice cap of creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel malt, fresh floral hops, and a pleasant nuttiness provide a very pleasing aroma. Medium nutty-malty backbone and very smooth on the palate. Really good feel from this one. Flavor picked up most of the aroma, as well as some light woody notes. Wish it was just a little heavier on the flavor, but very good Oktoberfest all around. Steely (241) - , SWEDEN - NOV 29, 2008
Golden sparkling amber with an offwhite head. Sweet butterscotch aroma with a fresh hint of citrus from the cascade hops. Quite light, sweet malty flavor with butterscotch, some spicy herbs and orange. Perfectly balanced with a smooth and mellow mouthfeel. Very pleasant, can´t wait to have it at the traditional swedish christmas dinner. PMgep (292) - Lund, SWEDEN - DEC 14, 2008
