Nice dark golden/amber color, with an ok head. Has a weak aroma from vegetables. Flavour is floral and from perfume, has a peppery and maybe to strong finsh. petermadsen (390) - Vesterbronxxx, DENMARK - MAR 24, 2008

A bit skunked and slightly oxidized. The head struggled to have any life to it. Light toffee notes with a mild, and a bit off, hop profile. Would’ve liked to have seen a deeper malt backbone to this one. Not impressed, but would be curious as to what a fresh bottle was intended to taste like. spporras (259) - FINLAND - SEP 5, 2006
(Bottle BB 10/2006) Fruity, hoppy, slightly roasted and slightly caramel aroma. Red brown colour, bright but some very small particles, slightly sparkling and average size, white, more or less fully diminishing head with fair lacing. Caramel, roasted malty, slightly bitter and fruity (citrus) flavour. Softly carbonated and medium-bodied palate. Good, well balanced beer! 21/08/06 bark (255) - Linköping, SWEDEN - OCT 2, 2004
The colour is clear, deep copper red with brown tones. The medium-sized beige foam disappears into a very thin layer.
The smell is somewhat sour with lots of malt. There are some notes of brown sugar and dough.
The carbon dioxide is mild with small bubbles.
The burned, generous is taste is bitter with a little touch of metal. There are notes of almonds, and caramel malt. The aftertaste is dry, bitter and finishes with a slowly descending taste of dark bread.
This is a nice interpretation of the Märtzen concept. As usual, it is a really good beer from the small Nils Oscar’s brewery Plimmer (252) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 25, 2008
Bottle 50cl. Amber/Orange/brown body with a small dense head. Caramel and malt in the nose. Rather sweet body with malt and hops as the dominating parts and a nice bitter finish. Nice beer! Koyo (251) - SWEDEN - JAN 22, 2011
Bottle from Systembolaget. Aroma hints of coffee and the roasted malts in the brew hints with their presence. Not much hops in the aroma though. Taste carries notes of coffee and a slight sweetness, it rounds off with a medium hoppiness. This is a nicely balanced brew that goes excellent with food.
