COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bov (13284) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 1, 2010
courtesy of Per - hazy brown coloured and with a little beige foam left; earthy aroma with notes of cookies and caramel, moderate malt body and very velvety mouthfeel; light bitterness and a quite long flowery and malty finish - very drinkable and unspectacular

Bottle. Copper in color, it’s topped by an off-white head. Malty, toffeeish nose with some bread notes and hints of dried fruits. There’s some oxidation notes in the flavor, but it’s mostly toffee-ish malts and bread. A little hint of dried fruits too. Bready in the finish, medium body, dry. A quite nice and easy drinkable beer, probably best suited with some rich food. 090925

3.2
ricke (476) - Malme, SWEDEN - NOV 17, 2009
Serving date: 2009-03-25. Brown color with red hues, 2 cm off-white and uneven head. Some lacings.

Good balance between malts and hops in the nose. Fruity hop aromas (oranges), grass. Caramel, chocolate powder, fudge, toast.

The taste has a pretty big malt character - caramel, toast, chocolate notes. Grassy and floral hops, citric notes, raisins. Brown sugar. The bitterness in the finish is very pleasant. Some light spices, hop resins, dough and bread in the finish as well.

Moderate body, medium level of carbonation. It lacks some body in the finish.

A good beer, but nothing spectacular. The balance between malts and hops was very good. All in all, the beer almost seems like a good attempt that didn’t really make it all the way.

Svesse (8825) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - OCT 21, 2009
(Bottle) Brownish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with dark rye bread, caramel, toffee, roasted grain and hints of citrus peel. Malty taste with dark rye bread, toffee, chocolate, dark fruit and a touch of spicy, citrussy hops in the finish. A bit roasted, almost with a hint of smoke. Medium body, balanced sweetness. Good enough.

330 ml bottle. Reddish amber body with a dense tan head. Aroma is caramel, citric hops and malt. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel and a fruity bitterness towards the end. Decent.
