Smooth brew with roasty/nutty flavor, true to its' name. Nice finish. A excellent beer of it's style.

I used to say that I wasn't a fan of nut brown ales... until I had one from Nimbus. This is simply an amazingly good beer. Hours later, I was still savoring the rich, tasty flavor! Unfortunately for others it's probably not widely available outside of Arizona. MikesGOTurBeer (3) - USA - MAR 16, 2008 does not count
Very good. I can only find it a few places in San Diego, but I when I do I buy everything they have. This is like a Newcastle on Black Tar Heroin. Extremely good beer. Starts nice, finishes with a nap. HogHug (1) - USA - MAY 16, 2010 does not count
This ale is simply stunning. If I haven’t had one in a while merely inhaling a freshly opened bottled almost brings tears to my eyes. The only reason I rated Taste at 9 is because it can’t quite match the ecstasy of that aroma. I’ll leave the Overall at 18 only to acknowledge my neophyte status. superdude1979 (62) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - OCT 5, 2008
Wow, stumbled upon this in Wal-Mart of all places. For a dark beer this is very smooth and drinkable. A well crafted full-bodied beer. It has been a while since I have tasted a beer this good

Man, this is solid good beer. Totally on the mark for style and session to boot. Poured with a nice sized foamy, frothy, cream colored head that lasts quite a while and lots of lace. Color is a clear, dark walnut. Aroma is nut oil, malt, cocoa, and a little bittersweet. Flavor is exactly the same only jacked up. Body and carbonation are excellent and perfect for the style. Session beer for sure. htomren (12) - Long Beach, California, USA - JUN 12, 2002
Very porter-like. Dark and rich, with roasted coffee flavors. It was truly a pleasure to drink. bsierra (213) - Vista, California, USA - FEB 23, 2008
On draft at Hamilton’s Tavern, rich coffee type hue with thin brown head. Light roasted malts lead to a sweeping warm hop, very deep roasting/chewy nut layer. Mild abv. with a sweet quick finish. A perfect accopanyment to my bar nuts and leftover enchilada flavored cheetos~ jedimasternick (96) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - OCT 29, 2002
The appearance of a porter with a gourmet dark ale taste. An excellent brew by an excellent company. Disregard the infected ratings-this brewery is completely safe, legitimate, and the largest barrel production in Arizona. Ibrew2or3 (8748) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - OCT 2, 2011
12oz bottle pours clear mahogany with copper – amber hues and lasting tan head. The aroma offers up ample amounts of toffee, roasted malts and earthiness mixing together very nicely. The taste begins with a brief straight up maltiness and is quickly joined by sweet toffee candy, some roasted malts, a pleasing dank earthiny maltiness and just a kiss of sweet dark fruity esters. Wow! This is scratching me right where I itch. Hits the spot for sure. Nice!
