A traditional stout using dark roasted malted barley to create a full-bodied ale. Rounded with the smooth flavor of oats, the addition of English Kent Goldings hops produces a creamy stout that has proven to be a favorite.

Aroma of toffee and yeast. and hoppy hints. Pours an opaque dark brown with a fairly thick tan head that leaves some lacing. Taste is roasted malt with black cofffee and toffee notes. Super carbonated - not full-bodied, which may be the key to its drink-ability. Not bad but not particularly memorable.

Old rating. Forgettable stout. Chocolate, caramel, chewy, medium bodied. Nothing offensive nothing spectacular.

chocolate and caramel flavours, light bitterness, and long-lasting taste. Very enjoyable.

Tap. Clear reddish brown with a small beige head. Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, and caramel. Flavor is the same. Medium body.

12 oz bottle. Label notching appears to indicate a bottled on date of Feb. 2014. Pours clear dark brown with a small head that soon reduces to a thin, partial coat. Aroma: sweet and overly floral with faint traces of dark malts. Flavor: Contaminated? Not so bad or off style that I am sure it is a bad bottle, but it certainly is a bad stout. Feel: mildly astringent; medium body.

Bottle from Total Wine. Dark chocolate brown color, with little to no head. Aroma has hints of chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is coffee. Not my favorite stout.

GIJOE (1256) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - FEB 18, 2014
A little darker than most colas, off white head. Nose is malty with a hint of molasses. Taste is moderately sweet with a slight hop edge. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Good brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from BevMo, Phoenix. Roasted malt aroma with some chocolate notes. Pours black with a thin light brown than dissipates quickly and some lacing. Sweet chocolate flavor to start with roasted flavors right before the finish. Finishes quite smooth with the chocolate lingering on the palate. Nice brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lubiere (14151) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 26, 2013
A deep dark stout with a thin lacing brown head. In aroma, classic chocolate malt with light creamy notes, powdery and smooth. In mouth, a nice smooth smooth chocolate malt with light peated notes, grassy hops, smooth and quaffable. On tap at brewery.

Pint at brewery 11/13/13-Pours black with a nice tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, and sweetness. Taste of sweetness along with some chocolate. This full bodied brew was nice and creamy and easy to drink.
