A traditional stout using dark roasted malted barley to create a full-bodied ale. Rounded with the smooth flavor of oats, the addition of English Kent Goldings hops produces a creamy stout that has proven to be a favorite.

Poured into Red Sox pint glass. Pitch black, next to zero carbonation. Non-existent head. Nose isn’t over pronounced. Some malt, coffee scents. Easier to drink than I thought, thinner than it poured. A little lighter in the palate, but a great aftertaste rich w/coffee and chocolate. Nice combo of taste and drinkability.

Good but not my favorite stout. Has a bit of a sour bite to it. Can't seem to get past the sourness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at brewpub. Near black, light brown head. Caramel. Light roast (a little acidic?). Bit of licorice? Semi sweet. Mild bitterness. Light body. Fairly smooth. A little creamy. Pretty good.

MarinEvelyn (852) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 23, 2015
Roasty, a little milky, very balanced, smooth, and creamy. A little simple, but still good.
