Pours dark with brown head and some lacing. Notes of chocolate and a hint of coffee. Balanced taste that is smooth. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - JAN 1, 2006
This sweet stout pours an eclipse black color from a 12oz bottle. Large sized white beige foamy head with strong lacing. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla and coffee, kind of sweet. A medium bodied sweet stout. Malts are chocolate and coffee. The beer is a little lactic tasting, but very mild and only a little distracting from all the coffee flavors. This could be because the beer is turning or could from all the vanilla and cocoa flavors. Good balance of the chocolate, malt and coffee flavors. The lactic taste sort of works in this beer, I would rather it NOT be there but… Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. hellomynameis (877) - Mayer, Minnesota, USA - DEC 3, 2006
Coca-Cola coloured beer with a fizzy and disappeaing head. The aroma was slight and filled with roast. Good body on this one, nice character provided by the oatmeal. The flavour I thought was too much soy like flavours. But after getting through half the bottle I felt that it was nicely drinkable. The flavours were mostly roasted dark malts with a drying effect on the palate. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - SEP 1, 2007
12 Oz Bottle via footy. Flat cardboard and white toast aroma. Light salted caramels. Faint roast. Spills a deep black-brown, with mahogany fringes and rim of tanned soap. Flavor is a static, wet, plain brown sugar and plum flavor. Old tasting. Bits of ocean flotsam. Finishes in the higher metallic range. Salted. Pretty weak stout base. Body is a nip thin. Soured coffee grains. Does not excel. A bit too still, but more carbonation would have blasted through the empty body of the beer, making it even less desirable. jujubeast6000 (854) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 1, 2008
(Tap @ Old Chicago, Glendale, AZ): Pours a dark blackish color. Smallish tannish head. Slight coffee aroma, more chocolately, but not very strong. Crisp watery taste. Some chocolate-coffee taste.

Bottle; Poured dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma: light oat smell/ toasted/ metal. Flavor: Strong but not in a good way, tasted of metal, copper something to that effect. Slight malt/ roasted flavoring. Not my favorite. Braudog (6763) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUL 13, 2004
