COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional stout using dark roasted malted barley to create a full-bodied ale. Rounded with the smooth flavor of oats, the addition of English Kent Goldings hops produces a creamy stout that has proven to be a favorite.

tap-tucson beer fest this was probably the best brew i had of the night. This may be the best oatmeal stout i have ever had-rivals Bells!!!! Aroma was all chocolate and roasted notes. appearance was jet black with minimal tan/beige head around rim of glass. flavor was very well balanced-lots of roasted notes along with english hops. definately a great brew that needs to be sampled by all!

12oz Bottle from FalcoAlto. Thanks. Poured a very dark brown/black with a huge and creamy tan head. Nose was roasted coffee and chocolate malts. Nice. mmmmhhmm. There is chocolate and coffee and roasted caramel, but there is a pine like hop wandering around my tongue. This was a very nice stout.

12oz bottle poured black with a nice brown head. The aroma was rich with oats, chocolate and roast. The taste was slightly bitter at first then rounds out with a big palate. Overall a nice rich oatmeal stout more than a sweet stout.

this is a very nice local stout that stacked up well in the year long ’greatest stout’ search my wife and I conducted in 2006-7

The nitrogen-charged oatmeal stout is the best beer on tap at Nimbus (as of September 9th). Of course, I know there’s a lot of complaining about nitrogen making beer taste like month-old milk. Still, for me, the nitrogen does a lot to preserve the sweetness and creamy palate of the stout. When sipping the Nimbus oatmeal stout, it seems a little thin on taste as soon as it hits the tongue, but the finish is surprisingly flavorful (chocolate, coffee, oats). Every drink left me wanting another.

Big coffee and roast aromas. Deep black with a small tan head. Sweet roast a message change flavors. Full bodied with a sweet finish.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled in 11/2012. Pours clear nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of chocolate, roasted malt, oatmeal, cocoa, caramel, light coffee, floral, mint, and herbal earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with solid balance and complexity of roasted notes with a prominent amount of hops. Taste of dark chocolate, roasted malt, oatmeal, toast, caramel, light coffee, floral, mint, and herbal earthiness. Slight earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, oatmeal, caramel, light coffee, and earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of roasted malt flavors with light-moderate hop presence; with good robustness and zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy and fairly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with almost zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice oatmeal stout. Well balance with nice flavor robustness and complexity; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
