Appearance: Clear dark copper with small white head and good lacing
Aroma: Sweet Caramel malts
Taste: Caramel and nutty
A decent beer.
This is a really good English style ale. Bog frothy almost nitro head to it. Oodles of malt taste. I could drink a lot of these. Nice carbonation on the back end too. Tmoney99 (15113) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 23, 2010
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured hazy dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that was lasting and produced good lacing. Moderate nuts and toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth sticky texture and flat carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.

Deep amber out of the bottle with a thin off white head. Toffee sweet nose with some butter. This is a subtle barley wine with some burnt toffee sweetness, dark bread and dark malts. The bitterness in the finish is almost hot. This seems small for a barley wine and is almost quaffable, but still an enjoyable beer. SandK (44) - Arizona, USA - SEP 4, 2010
Slightly above average dark beer, just a smidge on the flat side. Loved the chocolaty aftertaste though!

Thanks to maltajo for the bottle. Pours a deep reddish brown with a thin off white head. English toffee, cherry and hints of hops in the aroma.Taste is smooth malt, spicy and touches of brown sugar. An excellent english ale. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - AUG 17, 2010
Bottle; poured a dark cola brown with a big, frothy khaki head. Aroma of caramel, bread, fruit, sweetness, and a bit of nuts. Flavor was very bready, cocoa and caramel. Some mineral and nutty qualities. daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUN 13, 2010
Dark brown pour with a nice tan head. Aroma has some roasted malt, banana, wheat bread and light toffee. Flavor has some nice notes, but its a bit overwhelmed by an alcohol flavor that isn’t so welcomed. I get some good malt, caramel, light yeast, some light buttery notes...but the finish is a bit hot and bitter. An odd one here.
