Wowzers! This is great stuff. It has a distinct roasted malt aroma and a very light hop aroma. The taste is malty, roasted coffee-like and just downright good. It reminds me of some of the dopplebock beers I've had, but with a lighter body. Damn good beer.

I got this bottle in a trade with Tayner. Thanks Dana!
It pours a dark brown with reddish hues and a good 2 finger head of off white foam. Good head retention and there's some lacing.
The smell has notes of roasted malt, some caramel, and a bit of bread.
The taste is of toffee, dark fruit. some caramel, slight chocolate, and a slight bitterness and tartness. I also get some hint of the alcohol but it's fairly mild.
It's around medium bodied and the carbonation is also medium. It finishes with the dark fruit, mostly cherry and some plum and raisin.
This is an interesting brew and though the flavours I mentioned say it is very complex, I feel the flavours are actually on the subdued side. That's ok for an English Brown but with the bigger abv content than is the norm, I guess I expected more. Still pretty tasty brew though.
Bottle shared. Clear dark brown with a beige head of foam. The aroma has oaly vanilla notes. Hints of fudge and toffee in the taste. Sweet and roasty as well. Big body and medium carbonation. VastActiv (7662) - Oulu/Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 7, 2017

12 oz bottle. I did not enjoy this beer at all. A lot of off flavors that did not mix well. MarcoDL (5415) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 26, 2015
Bottle. Dark brown color. Aroma of malt, smokey ham and chocolate. Taste has lots of iron and malt, with some smokeyness as well. Smells better than it tastes. Bummer. beerbaaron (2046) - Arizona, USA - JUN 5, 2015

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown color with a moderate tan head on there. Nose is toasty with some bread coming through. Taste is also toasty with a nice crisp bite to it. Decent beer, but nothing spectacular.
