Thanks turdferguson for sharing. Pours a translucent dark copper with a fizzy light tan head. The nose is musty, old paper, malty, kind of sweet. The flavor is old and papery, musty, earthy, basement, not too hot. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - FEB 4, 2007
(Bottle) Pours a reddish-dark brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of wood, molasses, licorice, toasted oats, nuts, cocoa, and coconut. Flavor of cocoa, burnt malt, caramel, and some fruit with a bitter finish. Complex and unique, but somewhat unbalanced. KimJohansen (10492) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2008
Cloudy dark amber with tiny off white head. Sweet and slightly sour aroma with roasted malt and caramel notes. Same goes for the flavor. nbutler11 (1267) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - JAN 15, 2009
Pours a filtered amber color from the bottle with a fluffy off-white head. Much closer to a scotch ale than an english strong. Smells and tastes of barley, faint roast, caramel, and tomato paste. Thin. fiulijn (20370) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 17, 2009
Hazy dark amber color. Earthy caramel aroma, very light manure too. Medium body strength, caramel flavor, but with cabbage off-flavor, vegetables. Correct bitterness. Wrong.

Pours red/dark brown with an off white head. Aroma is sweet, and taste is malty with a bit of sweet candy taste. Alcohol is hidden well, and the flavor is very solid. Not bad! Bierkrug (2129) - - DEC 25, 2010
330 ml bottle in Germany thanks to Steptin. Dark, cloudy, burnt orange ale with a small, creamy, beige head. Aroma is of citrus and nutty malts. Light chocolate flavors, a hint roasty with some tobacco notes and that little touch of sourness coming through. Finish is almost dry, mildly bitter and warming. rdixon77 (2760) - Georgia, USA - SEP 3, 2012
Pretty decent selection though nothing breath-taking. Dark brown pour. Very malty nose, and taste that follows with a bunch of sweetness. Relatively fizzy for a darker beer, but still easy to drink. Hides alcohol well. boisebeerguy (209) - boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 29, 2015
12 oz bottle. I did not enjoy this beer at all. A lot of off flavors that did not mix well. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - AUG 15, 2006
Brown caramel color, light head and lacing. Nose is again, vegetal with some alcohol and fruity notes showing themselves. The flavor is fairly woody with some dry malts and splinters. Finishes with a light sherry note along with some maple and plum notes. Zug.
