Malty nose of roast and some lighter notes of caramels and dark fruits, some hoppy notes as well - lightly earthy and floral. Pours dark brown with a nice creamy off whie head, sticky sheets of lace. Nice looking stuff. Roast, dark malts, some darker malt sweetness shows up, nice floral hop finish with more solid roast notes. A touch of alcohol here and there, mildly earthy and dry. Pours a hazy brown from the bottle with fluffy tan head that leaves moderate lacing. Aroma of sweet biscuit and caramel, hint of fruit and grass. Taste follows, almost like a scotch ale sweetness with a bit of boozy burn and hints of grass. Decent, dry finish.

Draught. Dark golden color, slightly hazy. Bubbly white head that laced the glass. Estery banana nose with some cloves. These characteristics come out again in the flavor and mix well with a cream and spice undertones. Reminded me more of a Belgian abbey ale than an English strong ale. Pours a murky amber red color, with a small off white head, decent lacing. The heads leaving! Aroma is salt water taffe(Sp?) fresh hops, tinging on the nose. Flavor is sweet smooth, with a nice hop bite, lots of booze bitterness with apple in the finish.
