(Sample at Papsø’s) Pours a clear, dark copper with little toffee head that laces the glass. Aroma is malty, syrupy with a faint whiff of oxydation, alcohol and raisins. Full-bodied, oily texture, medium carbonation and a long, astringent finish. Taste is strongly sour with lightly sweet notes.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, caramel, spices, herbs, and matl. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices, caramel, herbs, alcohol, brown sugar, and a bit of alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. yespr (44807) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - AUG 24, 2011

750ml bottle from the brewpub, drunk at ChrisO’s Christmas Tasting, 28th Dec 2010. Hazy brown with a little magnolia head. Spicy nose with a penetrating initial note. In the mouth it is malty and full. The strength becomes more apparent late on but you’d still guess it was 8% rather than 13%. Quite sticky, jammy finish - clings to the corners of your mouth. harrisoni (18436) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 26, 2011
750ml bottle @ Christmas tasting on 28 December 2010. Thanks to Caspar for this one. Hazy dark brown colour with lasting beige head. Rather a good darkish malt beer. Doesn’t taste of 13%. Good condition. Good in mouth. Lovely malts.
