On tap @ Provisions Market. Amber/copper pour with a white head. Aromas of sweet caramel, date, plum, and a surprising citrus character. Quite sweet, some toffee, toast, and a touch of nuts. Flavor is really sweet and fruity. Lots of date, plum, and raisin. Plenty of caramel, toffee, and toasted malt as well. Light citrus, nuts, and a hint of alcohol. on tap at the Provisions market, deep amberish red pour with a slight frothy head, bought this one completely based off the name. GO USA circa 1945!! There is very little date taste in this which is goo, i was afraid of too much fruit, good hops, slightly bitter finish. Good brew jcr (2705) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - NOV 24, 2013
Bottle. Deep amber body. Fizzy, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malts, grapefruit, pine and light floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Alcohol pepperiness in finish. Caramel and raw grain dominate the taste. Got to like thick, forward husky malts to get into this one. thorongil2 (3088) - , Ontario, CANADA - NOV 15, 2013

On tap at The Grad in Davis CA. Pours an amber color with a frothy head. Has a little hop presence up front but levels out nicely. Caramel was the most dominant flavor. Nice brew.

Bottle:   Deep amber, small frothy tannish head, little lacing.   Very soft bready nose, slight caramel and
toffee.   Seems very subtle.   Very soft on the tongue for an English Strong Ale.   Pale breadiness, a little
mealy, soft caramel and toffee.   Tastes as it smells.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   I usually expect
this style to be a bit bigger, but this one is rather mild.   Finishes bready, with pale sweetness.   I will say
its not cloying or too heavy like so many others, but it could stand to be a bit beefier.   A lighter, yet clean and
well balanced example. marcus (10231) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUL 23, 2013
On tap at Pangaea. Pours reddish amber with a thick beige head and a fruity aroma. There is a roasty red malt flavor with a dry finish. stchloe (1067) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 18, 2013
Very unique beer that holds very true to Ninkasi’s style, finishes with that signature hop profile, but definitely is a more complex beer lending to the sweetness of the dates, caramel malt body.
