22 oz. bottle, pours an opaque dark orangey amber with a small beige head. Aroma is big on grapefruit, loads of caramel malt, sugary fruity, and resinous hops. Flavour is more on the malty side for a double IPA, with big resinous hops, some tropical fruits, grapefruit and a big whopping caramel malt backbone. Although it’s not cloying, the maltiness is too prominent for my taste, leaving a bit of residual sugars. Big meaty body and even a mildly enjoyable flavour profile, but not really to my taste. Decent effort. Ferris (17150) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 28, 2013
Draft - Mild orange and earthy hops. Middy orange with a thin white head. Earthy, resin nicely balanced malts with a nice mouthfeel. The British style lends to a sessionable but pedestrian IIPA.

Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel/toffee with some floral hop. Near full bodied. Flavor is quite unusual. There’s a caramel backbone, but the hop is floral, even herbal. There’s so much hop that it seems to have its own body. But the flavor intensity, while large, has very little "burn". Just a touch. So the NW aspect is way, way muted. It finishes bitter, and very hoppy. Pliny fans may not like this. But to an extent, hop is hop - and there’s a lot in this. Draft. Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate citrus and earthy aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate complex bittersweet flavor with a moderate complex bittersweet finish of medium duration. This is an average beer for style. Dogbrick (14344) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 23, 2014
This beer is a hazy dark orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, fruit and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of grainy malt, herbal hops and a touch of overripe fruit. The finish is earthy hops and stale-tasting grainy malt aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours cloudy amber with a thick beige head and a sweet molasses aroma. There is a medium-bodied toffee flavor with a bitter citrus finish. solidfunk (9741) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - MAY 9, 2013
Smells initially hoppy with booze. Pours clear orange. Tastes like an amber ale with little character. Smell is ok but taste doesn’t follow through. Pours golden with some lacing. Tap at Alibi. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - APR 4, 2013
22. Pours a cloudy burnished bright medium amber with a dense and sudsy tan head that sticks around. Loose drippy lace. Mild biscuity nose with soft floral notes. Creamy medium body with soft water and soft carb. Biscuits and soft lavender on the mid palate. Mild finish. Not bad, but a little too restrained, really. 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 22, 2013
Bottle:   Fiery straw, darker, hazy, little sudsy white head, virtually no lacing.   Candyish sweet hoppy aroma.   Pixie stix is strong with this one.   Reminds me of a lot of Danish IPAs or Double IPAs.   Moderately hopped flavors, sweet, artificial, pixie stix like powdery sugary notes.   Not bright, not too bitter, with a lot of artificial sweetness.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Finishes with a moderate hop bitterness, but a big artificial sweet background that seems like pixie stix.   A little caustic, probably from the 9.1%.   Doesn’t seem fresh, vibrant, or without the floral/citrusy bits so common for the style.   Lots of pixie stix like artificial sweetness.   This may as well have been brewed in Denmark.   PISS! reebtogi (6403) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 16, 2013
Sampled during VCBW 2013 at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, BC pouring a golden orange color with a small white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is light citrus and caramel. Taste is a citrus hop bitterness with a caramel malty sweetness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A decent brew, but not quite up there with some of the best.
