Brewed and dedicated to the believers of Ninkasi. Rich dark malt complexity is balanced by a plentiful hop presence bringing together perfection in every sip. Who knew believing had so many rewards.

Deep clear copper with a strong one-finger beige head and nice lacing. Aromas of rich caramel, earth, toast, and a touch of dark fruit. Caramel sweetness rules the palate, accompanied by gentle earth hoppiness, brown sugar and light toast. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation, smooth mouthfeel and a lingering caramel in the finish.

Assez russie. Bien amre et bien sucre.

A pretty deep red. Toasted malt with some light caramel, some faint citrus, and a rounded malt toned hop bitterness. I wish it was a bit rougher.

Draft at Flying Saucer. Super dark red and brooding. Well laced. Big drinker with some toasty malt. Thick and sticky with a distinct bitter finish. (#6526, 3/6/2017)

12oz bottle from Beer Run. Aromas of red berries, earthy hops, dull citrus, caramel, bready. Clear red with a mostly lasting white head. Pretty dry, caramel, bready, fruity, spicy. Medium bodied, savory.

12 oz single bottle from Mollys Spirits, no freshness date. Clear, ruby, reddish appearance with a tan head. Aroma of alcohol, caramel malt, musty hops and a touch of dark fruits. Similar flavor, resinous, bitter and boozy, kind of unpleasant and possibly oxidized. Medium body with a thin, watery feel and an astringent finish. Pretty rough and hard to drink overall.

Mahogany with a thin beige red. Malty aroma with notes of roasted grains and plum. Flavors follow with big malt notes, dark grains and a moderately aggressive hop bite. Full bodied. Long bitter finish. Not wild about the trend to over hop red ales. While I can enjoy this one, I am definitely not a believer.

6.9%ABV. double red ale. Poured out red brown. 22SRM. Nose is sweet and nutty. Light umami. Mouthfeel is beery. Palate is nutty, barley bread, hint of rye spice, lightly sour middle then a slide into a raw acorns, ash and wood. A slightly more hop finish than a red or amber ale. Overall pretty full flavored amber.
