Bottle. Pours dark amber with small off white head. Malty, caramel, ok but not as good as I hoped. Bit boring.

6.9%ABV. double red ale. Poured out red brown. 22SRM. Nose is sweet and nutty. Light umami. Mouthfeel is beery. Palate is nutty, barley bread, hint of rye spice, lightly sour middle then a slide into a raw acorns, ash and wood. A slightly more hop finish than a red or amber ale. Overall pretty full flavored amber.

On tap at Vons Seattle. A touch of spice, biscuit malt and some mild roasted flavours balance the fruity hop profile, quite a good beer.

2" head.. took forever to die back... beautiful lacing.. the brew is a deep red caramel.. deep ruby when held to a lamp. earthy hoppiness is the main player in the nostrils.. some citric hops are drowned out by toasty malts.. caramel is there too.. but the toasted malts play 1st violin. flavor begins with an approachable bitterness.. not overdone.. caramel malts with nutty lite cocoa .. fruity/earthy hops.. some cherry??.. finish is sorta minerally/drying with a little caramel essence and grassy hoppiness. medium body and carbonation.. nothing too special in the mouthfeel.. pretty good amber ale... maybe verging a little too much on the dark side of things.. but still very drinkable and very fresh tasting... pretty unique.

Pours deep mahogany into a tulip. Tan head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Dark caramel and resin aromas. Thick with dark caramel and mild pit fruit upfront turning to marshmallow before the lasting bitter resin finish. Good, but I think this one is a little over-aged - would love to try fresh.

With Z, a bomber on Halloween night, pours an amber ruby red color with no head. Nose s hoppy , slightly bitter.Taste is rather sweet and fruity, and malty. Ends on the same sweet tasting notes with a moderately long malty finish . Quaff Score 6 / 10

Bomber. Pours a brown red with a tan head and aroma of hops and caramel malt notes. Taste is sweet and toasty, of malt, caramel, and bready notes along with light hops into the malty finish.

Bomber at home -- really nice pour, clear with a bubbly big off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of great malts and a bit of spice too. Really nice taste, well balanced and rich and fulfilling. Im a fan!

Bottle thanks to Sarah! Pours a clear deep red with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of bread and grain notes with a bit of grassy hops and just a hint of grapefruit. Flavor has more of a combination of grass, bread, grapefruit and sweet grains as well as a hint of caramel.
