Bottle from Brewfest. Black with tan head and lace. Tangy oaty aroma with some dark roasted espresso and ripe plummy aroma. Very roasted nuts and plums tangy oats sweetness and breadiness (aroma) with bitter roasted nuts and ashy notes in finish. Medium body. Fairly aggressively bitter for an oatmeal stout, but still quite good. Gruffyboy (41) - - OCT 8, 2015
Dark pour from bottle to tulip. Toasty coffee chocolate aroma. Smooth taste that has a pleasant dryness to it. V good brewski

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks DSG. Deep brown with medium brown head. Aroma of milk chocolate, some coffee, somewhat cidery and creamy. Sweetish flavor, notes of sourish apple, cidery, notes of coffee, some roastiness, light bitterness, a bit sticky. Moderate carbonation, medium-bodied. Very nice. Bottle shared at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Black with a tan head. Great aroma of dark chocolate and some roast. Sweetish flavor with dark chocolate, roast, a bit of coffee, a smoky note, and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Very good. ThreeCats (899) - ISRAEL - AUG 16, 2015
Almost black with ruby highlights and a huge dark mocha head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, dark carmel, and roast. Taste very roasty, with lots of bitter chocolate and espresso. Not as sweet as aroma would suggest, but very full. If the aroma promised cappuccino, the flavor delivered really good Italian espresso. Great beer. robbyg4307 (3) - Washington, USA - AUG 4, 2015 does not count
Excellent oatmeal stout. Perhaps my new favorite stout. Robust flavor, smooth creamy mouth feel with a hint of chocolate.

Great coffee like aroma with some oatmeal sweetness. The roast in this stout is cut significantly by the oatmeal but does not cause it to be too sweet. I'm biased against this category because I like my stouts bigger and heavier but this is good for the style.
