Draft @ The Sushi Bar - McCall, ID: Pours a golden color with a light white head. The nose is fresh and hoppy with some sweet apple and fruity notes along with a nice hop level. The flavor has a thin but sweet impact, mild alcohol and some bitterness. It is like an Iced Pale Ale; hoppy but fruity, sweeter and a little.... odd. Interesting beer. marcus (10466) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAY 12, 2010
On tap at Fredfest. Pours dark copper with a decent creamy head and a fresh pine aroma. There is a tasty caramel malt flavor with a lot of hop bitterness. I don’t know why this is classified as malt liquor. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 11, 2010
Tap @ Fredfest... Poured amber/orange with an off-white head. A very hoppy brew. Did not come off as a Malt Liquor. Hop up front, citrus notes, soapy character and a yeasty finish. philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 16, 2010

Had this on tap at the Spring and Wine Festival in Portland, OR (4/3/10). Colour... golden-copper with no head. Nose... clean malt and delicate hops. Palate... frothy, clean, crisp, deftly balanced between the malt and hops, with some lemony citrus hints as well grapefruit skin and a clean bitter finish.

On tap at the Front Door in Boise. It pours clear copper with frothy off white head. Cool looking brew. The modest aroma has notes of spicy to citrus hops and a sense of malt sweetness. The taste is crisp and fresh with citrus hops mixing with sweet amber ale – like sweet crystal malts. From time to time a touch of grapefruit to lemon like acidity knifes through the maltiness. Seems like a darn tasty pale ale as opposed to a malt liquor. I like it. ditmier (1508) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 15, 2010
Draught @TFD - Pours clear orange with a small white head...aroma is like a pale lager on steroids, malty and slightly grainy with a citric hop backbone...flavour is nicely bitter, unlike any malt beverage I’ve had before...malt and hop, hop and malt, very transparent in flavour and drinkable... jake65 (3978) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - MAR 6, 2010
Pours a golden hue on a deep orange body. Smaller white head. Not much more than a sweet maltiness and light citrus in the nose. From the taste, I wouldn’t have guessed malt liquor. Not much going on with the maltiness, some faint sweetness. Light citrus and florals. More of a weak pale ale than any malt liquor I can remember.
