The color is orange and gold with light foam. The flavor is slightly sour with a light hoppiness. The aroma is bright with hints of citrus. dwyerpg (6188) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - SEP 27, 2009
Not much aroma. Great red-orange color. Head is very intriguing. Hops, grains and fruit. Flavor is also fruity, then hoppy, then grainy. Good stuff. TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 25, 2009
Bottle (in NZ), pouring a light amber with a filmy off-white head. Toffee malt at first on the nose, and then some floral piney hops. Toffee malt again on the palate, though a bit grainy. But then very bitter, belying its 40 IBUs. Lacks a bit of balance for me. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - SEP 3, 2009
Clear amber with a light tan head. Mild floral hop aromas with grainy malts. Smooth medium body. Floral hop flavors with spicy caramel and sweet honey. Crisp, nicely bitter finish. Nice summer ale. bitbucket (2165) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - AUG 17, 2009
Bomber. Orange pour with some initial chill haze, lacy off-white head. Citrus, cookie dough and flowers aroma. Medium body and light carbonation. Peachy bread and toffee taste with an earthy bitter finish with just a bit of lingering soap.

Pours a semi-hazy orange-like color with a teeny, tiny head. Smells kind of weird, sort of sweet and sour. Tastes lovingly hopped as all the Ninkasi beers seem to but only the bitterness is detectable. Slight toffee/caramel peaks through the astringency, but at the end, all I’m left with is an oil slick bitterness. robforbes (2245) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - AUG 1, 2009
pours a semi-hazy amber-orange with a small off-white head, and good lacing.
smell is of sweet toffee, a little pepper, some floral, and dry leaves.
taste is of sweet grain, a little corn, some wheat, and hops in the back, ends dry and slightly bitter. hayduke (5222) - Eureka, California, USA - JUL 30, 2009
From a 22 oz bottle purchased at the Market of Choice in Ashland, CA this poured a very attractive copper color with a robust white head and very sticky lacing rings. Nose is of caramel malts with some floral and citrus hop aromas. Mouthfeel slick and smooth. The flavor is tasty with malts and hops in good balance. The finish is dry and lightly bitter. This is a very easy drinking and delightful APA. greenhorn1 (850) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - JUL 27, 2009
22 oz bottle. Pours copper with a thick head. A funky flowery nose. Flavor is a little off, mainly malt overpowering any hop presence. There is a slight bitterness in the finish. I am dissapointed with this one, Ninkasi can do much better. scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - JUL 22, 2009
Soft yet abundant floral aroma, very suggestively summery with some dry biscuit malt notes. . Clear light gold, strong and tall white head, sticky lacing. Little soapy, but overall very tasty and seasonally appropriate all around. Moderate in body, nice crisp hop zest in the finish, tasty in my glass at the computer, but still drinks fine out of the bottle around a campfire. Orange finish, another hint of soap that needs to be mentioned even though it wasn’t anything negative to my experience which is surprising.
