Bomber. Clear orange copper, lasting creamy off-white head leaves some definitive stepped lacing. Mild sweet malty aroma. Lightly bitter, fresh earthy herbal spicy hop taste, mild sweet malt, some citrus. Average carbonation, lighter bodied, moderately hopped. Nice refreshing quencher, finishes clean and dry. Pours a clear light copper color. Decent frothy. Aroma is earthy spicy hops upfront with a slight vinegarish note. Taste follows the Aroma with a nice malt backbone. Interesting take of a Ale. I like it! bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 16, 2013
(22oz bottle) Pours clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, tea, citrus, and earthiness. Flavor of tea, herbaceous, grass, citrus, some pine, and earth with a dry finish. Frahmo (316) - Idaho, USA - OCT 10, 2013
Nothing stands out on this guy. Although the summer ale part could be misleading. Another hoppy brew from Ninkasi. Salmoniform (1272) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - OCT 10, 2013
Poured from a bomber amber, almost redish. Appearance is crystal clear, much like other Ninkasi brews. Aroma is a bit heavy on the malt but finishes a bit bitter due to the above average hop schedule. Overall, quite a nice beer.

Solid. Almost an IPA. Hop centric in a grapefruit way, with a good malt base. B.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 22 oz Bomber. The beer pours to a light copper color with a small head. The aroma has a slight floral, grass & bread notes to it. The taste is light in body & has a mild bitter finish. Overall an average Pale Ale. oregontarheel (45) - - OCT 5, 2013
IBU 40. A crisp refreshing summer ale with a light hoppy flavor. Great beer got a hot summer day. Goes down almost too easy!

slightly cloudy light amber pour with massive head - aroma of malt and bread - nice toasted malt flavor with a really great hop flavor (now I know why they call them noble hops!) Gerbeer (3749) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 30, 2013
650 ml bottle. Pours a dark copper color with full head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of butterscotch, tropical fruit, and toasted malts. Flavors of light pine and caramel. Light bitter finish. A little light overall but definitely a fair summer ale.
