Poured from the bomber. All I saw was seasonal when I grabbed this from BevMo, I thought it was winter, not left over summer. Aroma is malty, flavor is bitter, but light and drinkable. Not the best pale ale, but drinkable. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 23, 2011
Bottle:   Hazy amber, moderate white frothy head, nice lacing. Pale hoppy nose, very slight butter
aspect.   Yeah, very pale hop aspect on the tongue.   Has a musty cardboard aspect, diacytl (sp?)
perhaps.   Hmmm, not all that crisp nor clean.   Seems smooth, but the lack of hop goodness plus the
fact that this one seems to be either over the top or partially infected, I gotta say its not all that
interesting.   They already do a decent Pale Ale, so not sure why this one. SDalkoholic (2395) - Linda Vista, California, USA - OCT 26, 2011
Bottle from Bevmo: Created a thick pillow of foamed head while the liquid was a dense golden honey color. The nose is decked with grassy hops and grains and smells like an authentic Kolsch style beer true to summer seasonal beers. The flavor has a wheat and oat taste that threw me off from what the nose lead me to believe. This is a heavier beer than I would of imagined from just reading the bottle and that adds another decent beer to Ninkasi’s line up. keith0718 (434) - Kansas, USA - OCT 12, 2011
Not my favorite Ninkasi. Hops has more of an astringent/bitter taste than lemony/floral. nearbeer (5456) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 25, 2011
Draft at Vino Rosso. Clear amber with a creamy head. Aromas of citrus, earthy leaf, toffee and resin. Flavor is tea leaf, citrus, caramel and toasted pecan. Light-medium body is tingly and dry. Nice summer sessioner. Actually it would be a nice one in any season.

(22oz bottle from BevMo! Scottsdale). Pours a hazy apricot with a white head that leaves some thin, sticky lacing. Average carbonation. Aroma has orange, caramel, grassy, and biscuity notes. Taste is sweet and malty along with some sharp bitterness. Medium bodied with an oily texture and astringent bitter finish. Pretty nice beer, but a bit hoppier than most APAs. Drinks more like an IPA, which isn’t a bad thing. TheRealMGD (555) - Lakewood, Washington, USA - AUG 29, 2011
Tap @ Top’s. Clear light gold pour with a brief, short white head leaving minimal lace. Light malt nose. Medium body and light, fine carbonation giving a heavier mouth feel than I would normally look for in a summer ale. Toast, light pine hops, almonds and a subtle chemical taste that I can’t quite nail down. Short, bitter finish. Sorry Ninkasi, this one says autumn ale to me. 12oz bottle picked up at The Grapevine DuffMan (10451) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 20, 2011
Appearance: Pours clear amber with a medium sized white head and good lacing
Aroma: Toasted malts, herbal and spices
Taste: Malty, grassy, grainy, herbal and spices
Not bad, different.
Bottle, shared by Parksy. Light golden, hazy, medium white head. Aroma is grainy and grassy, faintly of dried flowers. Lightly biscuity pale malt structure, grassy bitter hops, hint of metal. I would swear this is a pilsener, and a decent one at that! bpreo (2854) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - AUG 17, 2011
Not bad at all. It was actually good enough that it made me want to take my time drinking and enjoy it.
