Dark black. Tastes like chocolate milk...with a hint of hops. Creamy. Amazing porter. bpreo (2840) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - JAN 7, 2012
It’s just another Porter, but it’s brewed right. Happy New Year, Happy Last Year. Reid (2539) - Salem, Oregon, USA - JAN 5, 2012
22 oz bottle from Fred Meyer,S.Salem. $3.79
Very dark coloured porter almost black , large creamy, thick tan head.
aromas of toasted cereal, hay, slight cocoa.
MM strange liquorice root flavours, then treacle and nuts..dark coffee bitterness in the back.. i like it!
palate was just fine for style maybe even a bit thicker than usual
Going against the grain but i liked this..especially thebliquorice/treacle taste bhensonb (15192) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 14, 2012
Bomber from Harry & Davids in Medford, OR. Pours very dark brown with a 3 finger creamy beige head. Aroma of chocolate - medium chocolate. Med body plus a little. Frothy carb. Flavor is chocolate over smooth, but ashy, burnt malt. Plus I think there’s a definite smoke aspect. Smooth. Nearly dry. Mildly bitter. Still think smoked chocolate is the finish. Pretty decent stuff. I like it more than most porters. dkingsella (152) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 29, 2011
Poured a very dark mahogany with not much of a head. Some nice malty notes in the nose including chocolate, coffee and toasted nuts. Very nice taste with a medium mouthfeel and dry finish. Overall very good Porter. Will try and re-rate later when I’m not so tired and don’t find myself at a loss for words.

12 oz. bottle- Pours almost black with a nice creamy tan two finger head. The aroma is chocolate malts, it smells like bakers chocolate. The taste is roasted chocolate malt, robust, fairly creamy, mild hops. This does not push any boundaries whatsoever, leaving the term renewale kind of perplexing, but it is good, a straightforward porter. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JAN 17, 2012
Dark roasted grains and light bittersweet chocolate on the nose. Pours dark brown almost black with a tan head. The flavor is that of roasted husky grains, a little coffee, and dark bittersweet chocolate. Dry roasty finish. Somewhat one dimensional but as usual well done. Good drinkability. savnac (2391) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - APR 16, 2012
12 oz bottle. Deep brown with a creamy light tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroam of cocoa, caramel, roasted barley and an odd faint earthy scent. Flavor is rich chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Medium body with mild carbonation and a smooth, creamy mouth feel. This is an excellent porter, had an odd scent but the flavor more than makes up for it. Zymurgeist2 (2246) - Redwood City, California, USA - APR 24, 2012
Pours a deep brown with red highlights. Chocolate and coffee ground aroma. Taste is bittersweet chocolate with a surprising amount of roasted malt. Ash like finish as well - seems more like a stout in some respects. Bitterness seems disjointed with the roast. Chocolate tries to restore some balance. Not bad. johnnyoski (445) - Macomb, Michigan, USA - JAN 10, 2012
Bottle. Near black color with a thin tan head. Sweet aromas of chocolate and caramel with some coffee bitterness. Nice roasted taste. Dark chocolate and black licorice flavors with a soft bitter finish. Dry texture with soft carbonation. Nothing spectacular abou this porter but it is easy drinking.
