February 2012. From bottle. Dark brown with a tan head. Roasted malt, chocolate and spice aromas. Slightly sweet at first, but finished bitter. A bit on the lighter side. 19Ei8hty (1166) - Washington, USA - JAN 18, 2012
Thin malt body of lightly roasted chocolate and light grain. Dry with some light grass notes and a little pine. Bitter chocolate and some coffee as well. Smurf2055 (1400) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 20, 2012
Three fingers off white head. Very dark color. Strong rich robust smell. Coffee overpowers the nose. Taste is a lot lighter than expected. Coffee bitterness and a bit tart. Decent, but nothing special. Aml42000 (622) - Washington, USA - FEB 12, 2012
Nice enough, solid porter from the PNW. Roasted aromatics and palate. A hint of chocolate on the finish. Excellent price, but no idea what makes this special or seasonal. nearbeer (5555) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 22, 2012
12 oz. Opaque chocolate with a small ring of bubbles.. Nose is charred coffee bean, light cocoa. Flavor is cocoa, coffee, and light berry. Medium body is chalky-dry, and a little too fizzy.

A big bodied porter. A nice roasted flavor that is not too overpowering but quality. Carbonated a lot for a porter but still a quality brew. Sledutah (7788) - Utah, USA - APR 5, 2012
12oz bottle picked up at The Grapevine steview (1037) - Petaluma, California, USA - JUN 4, 2012
Appearance: Pours dark brown with a medium sized tan head and some lacing
Aroma: Toasted malts, chocolate and roasted coffee
Taste: Roasted malts and coffee, milk chocolate
Nice, smooth and tasty.
It’s okay. It’s boring and mediocre. The mouthfeel is nice. The appearance is just right with me. The aroma and taste are not offensive, but rather bland. It’s like a lower grade of steak. You’ve got it medium-rare, but why isn’t this Kobe? It seems like it should be a special ale. douglas88 (9569) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 8, 2012
Bomber thanks to Mike. Pours a deep brown color with some mahogany, a beige head. A light nose of cocoa and toast. A pretty mellow porter with caramel, toast, light chocolate, maybe some hop bitterness. Very light. OK. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 20, 2012
(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) clear light brown, ring of fine tan bubbles. Nose is nice, milk chocolate, toasty, light roast, cream. Taste of watery chocolate, stale coffee, paper, light body, roast.
