3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Thin head on a clear, copper colored body.
The aroma is grainy and honey, but quite bold for a lager.
The taste has a building bitterness that is balanced with a mild sweetness. The finish is a dry bitterness and a little bready.
Low carbonation and medium body.
A really enjoyable beer and quite drinkable.
Tap. Amber pour with a finger of head. Fruit, biscuit, caramel. Slight bitterness. Not bad stevoj (5358) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 17, 2014
Excellent bitter, on tap at Payette. Perfect hops bitterness. short and sharp/ Amber body with thin foamy head. Would fit right in at a British pub.... 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Bottle:   Amber, a bit dark, moderate frothy sandy head, nice lacing.   Very soft bready and biscuity notes on the nose.   Soft breadiness up front, pale biscuit, not too strong, a little mealy, slightly nutty.
Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Flat finish, a little bready, nutty, mealy, and biscuity.   Doesn’t have as much umph as it did when it started.   Even then, the umph wasn’t that big.   Seems like a lighter example of
an ESB.   I also expected it to be a bit more crisp, which it was not.   Tiz okay tho, clean at least. Whids (60) - - MAY 8, 2013

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark amber with little head. Aromas of dry grass, light biscuit, and toasted malts. Flavors of bitter resin, toast, malts, and burnt sugar. Not my cup of tea. cstuartj (1020) - Washington, USA - MAR 8, 2013
Dull gold in color. Thin pale head. Really nice malty, bready nose. A bit over malty attack. Good finish. bhensonb (15489) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 5, 2013
Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours hazy copper/amber with yellow tinged creamy head. Aroma of earthy hop and sweet caramel. Med body. Flavor is fruity, followed by grassy, ending with residual earthiness. The hop is sufficiently intense to make the malt relatively unnoticeable. It’s hoppier than many IPAs. Very nice. Some roasty malt does come out after taste bud fatigue sets in.
