Was expecting something different because of the spring. But was slightly hoppy. Not much after taste. Tsotsi (178) - Florida, USA - APR 18, 2011
22oz bottle thanks to Scrizzz. Pours golden color with a white head. Nose is citrus, light hops and malty nose. Taste starts out bitter followed by a bit of malts and then the bitter finish kicks in. Get a bit of earth in there as well.
Nice easy drinking beer. GAManiac (1944) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - APR 14, 2011
12oz bottle from HuskyinPDX.
Pours almost completely clear amber with a thick but small head that recedes to a collar pretty quickly.
The aroma is like a nice crispy piece of toast with some light earthy hops, pretty grassy actually.
Like the aroma, the taste strikes me as very toasted. Crisp floral hops that remind me of a freshly mowed lawn. Almost gets a little too earthy as the finish has a really grainy character.
Mouthfeel is crisp and light with good carbonation and a dry bitterness after each sip.
The overly toasted malt character detracts a bit from the overall package for me but it’s a nice drinkable bland with a healthy grassy hop profile. bigben873 (260) - Virginia, USA - APR 11, 2011
Aroma - light hops
Appearance - cloudy golden, big head that fades
Taste - typical pale ale, slightly bitter
Palate - medium body
Overall - not super hoppy but not super smooth either. A solid lighter summer beer riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - APR 6, 2011
Nose is floral, lightly citrusy with notes of biscuit and toasted malts. Pours golden, decently lasting head and lace. The flavor is dry and biscuity, toasty, with mostly floral notes and light citrus. Dry and light, easy to drink. Decent, but not that interesting to me.

Bottle. Dark amber with nice white head. Slightly dirty citrus and floral scent. Strong hops on a soft biscuit malt. Long grapefruit finish. Some woody notes throughout. For a session I might have gone lower ABV but it is a nice drinker. Sammer (1119) - Plano, Texas, USA - APR 4, 2011
Deep golden pour from bottle. Nice white head. Aroma is pine and bread. Taste is citrus, light hops and grass. A very clean, very enjoyable beer. I would drink this one again for sure. RedSox2004 (1962) - Pacific Palisades, California, USA - MAR 27, 2011
Clear gold with a bright white fluffy head and very nice lacing. Bright citrus aromas with hints of crystal malts. Nicely balanced flavors of slightly sweet bready malts and crisp hops bitterness, featuring an almost-tart lemony taste. Light to medium body, highly carbonated, and super clean crisp finish. Perhaps the best lawnmower beer made. savnac (2391) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - MAR 25, 2011
22 oz bottle. Slightly hazy orange/yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of floral and citrus hops with some light caramel and toast. The flavor starts fairly bitter with a smooth malt sweetness to provide balance. Medium body with average carbonation and a clean, bitter finish. This is a really nice Pale, a bit on the bitter/hoppy side which suits me fine. nickd717 (4839) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAR 25, 2011
Bomber from BevMo Mountain View.
Brilliant clear golden in color with a lasting white head and excellent lacing that totally coats the glass.
The aroma is like a spring rain (I assume that’s where the name comes from). Some wet leaves and earth for sure, along with pale malt and herbal notes.
The flavor has pale malt and just a touch of caramel, with considerable hop bitterness, herbal and earthy.
Dry and crisp on the mouthfeel with medium body and a good lightness to it.
Good stuff, a real beer’s beer as I like to say, not something that an old redneck would think was to froofy-froofy, but still tasty. I approve.
