This one was kind of overrated by the bartender that recommended it but a very good beer nonetheless. Let this one warm up though, it has absolutely no aroma and the flavors are a bit muted when its served cold from the tap. But once it warms up its great. Still not much to speak of on the aroma front but the taste is really nice. A lot of citrus notes with piney stuff that hints at its origin in the Northwest. Just a really solid IPA.

Draft. Dark gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of bready and slightly toasted pale malt, along with mild sour citrus. Flavors are of light German malts, mild pink grapefruit, and a bit of black pepper. Medium bodied. A bit to skewed towards the malts for my taste, but it still comes across as clean. Probably more balanced for a lot of folks.

Restrained citrus aroma in a hazy gold pour. Hop forward balance with restrained fruity body and sustained bitter finish is spot on for the style. Youll not go wrong ordering one of these.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a medium two finger off white head that did leave some good lacing around the glass. The aroma is pine, hop resin, not much citrusy. The flavor is more of the same. Only really pick up a soapy pine resin flavor and not a whole bunch more. Not a very balanced beer but at the same time I would not say it is bad or unenjoyable.

Bottle. Nice citrus hop aroma with notes of grapefruit and tangerine as well as floral hops and caramel malt. Pours clear amber colored with a large tan head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with grapefruit and tangerine hop citrus and acidity with a little bit of caramel malt for balance. Finishes dry with floral hop flavors as well as bitter pine resiny hops that lingers on the palate well after each sip.

pours cloudy dark orange with white fluffy head. the aroma is citrus, pine, resin, grapefruit. The flavor is pine, grapefruit, and citrus up front followed by caramel sweetness and a melon/pine aftertaste. the body is medium, overall leaves a nice smooth flavor and is not to unbalanced either way.

650ml bottle with George in Porteau Cove. Bottled on 2016-12-28. Pours a hazy golden with a tan head. Aroma is candied citruses and caramel. Taste is tropical fruits bitterness (moderate) and caramel. Piney bitternes aftertaste. Very good.

Draft at Mels. Very good IPA; some sweet orange and steely fizz, with a pleasantly bitter finish. Aroma is a little dull. Ninkasi continues to impress.

Pours a translucent golden-orange into the glass with a nice eggshell head that diminishes to a thin ring of suds that leaves window-wash lacing. The nose of fresh, wet hops and pale malt. Flavors are well-bittered throughout the pull, of fresh hops, pine-like and woody. An abundance of pale malt lends a toasted cracker essence with lemon and pepper, finishing with a nice, appropriately lingering bitterness. Although for the "novice" and "experienced" hophead alike, the balanced citrus and bitterness makes for a nice pull. The body is medium-full with active carbonation to the palate, supplying a substantial and complex mouthfeel with a relatively easy quaff. A very nice example of the Northwest IPA style, staying pretty much true-to-form while appealing a wide variety of craft brew enthusiasts of varying "levels".

Pours a slightly tinted honey, sticky white head. Aroma is sweet resin, florals, pine. Nice creaminess on the tongue yields to a slightly peppery bite. A bit astringent at times. Bitter citrus and biscuit. Decent.
