3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at library square public house. Pours honey gold and slightly hazy. Decent off white head. Fades to leave excellent lacing. Minor carbonation, might be the tap. Slight bouquet of grassy hops. A great first sip. Starts off with a unique sweetness and finishes slightly bitter. Lingers well on the palate. Hints of caramel and pine. It’s a hard to describe flavour, albeit tasty. Would have it again.
Bottle from a supermarket in Oregon. Aroma is malt, floral hops, lots of grapefruit, pine and spruce. Flavour is moderate sweet with an annoyingly harsh bitterness. Body is medium. Wow, I didn’t expect such a poorly balanced IPA from Ninkasi. Very disappointing. ReidBix (27) - - JUN 28, 2017
And we back bois (like 2 hours after the fact). Had another one of these with this being one of my first 1/3 unique beers. Really good IPA ukno Jeffff

Draft. Dark gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of bready and slightly toasted pale malt, along with mild sour citrus. Flavors are of light German malts, mild pink grapefruit, and a bit of black pepper. Medium bodied. A bit to skewed towards the malts for my taste, but it still comes across as clean. Probably more balanced for a lot of folks. beer-yum (1703) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - APR 10, 2017
Restrained citrus aroma in a hazy gold pour. Hop forward balance with restrained fruity body and sustained bitter finish is spot on for the style. You’ll not go wrong ordering one of these.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a medium two finger off white head that did leave some good lacing around the glass. The aroma is pine, hop resin, not much citrusy. The flavor is more of the same. Only really pick up a soapy pine resin flavor and not a whole bunch more. Not a very balanced beer but at the same time I would not say it is bad or unenjoyable. zoucrew102 (1869) - - MAR 29, 2017
Bottle. Nice citrus hop aroma with notes of grapefruit and tangerine as well as floral hops and caramel malt. Pours clear amber colored with a large tan head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with grapefruit and tangerine hop citrus and acidity with a little bit of caramel malt for balance. Finishes dry with floral hop flavors as well as bitter pine resiny hops that lingers on the palate well after each sip. rustbucket0873 (460) - Greenville, South Carolina, USA - MAR 25, 2017
pours cloudy dark orange with white fluffy head. the aroma is citrus, pine, resin, grapefruit. The flavor is pine, grapefruit, and citrus up front followed by caramel sweetness and a melon/pine aftertaste. the body is medium, overall leaves a nice smooth flavor and is not to unbalanced either way. beerplace (1664) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 25, 2017
650ml bottle with George in Porteau Cove. Bottled on 2016-12-28. Pours a hazy golden with a tan head. Aroma is candied citruses and caramel. Taste is tropical fruits bitterness (moderate) and caramel. Piney bitternes aftertaste. Very good. Slipstream (2625) - USA - JAN 6, 2017
Draft at Mel’s. Very good IPA; some sweet orange and steely fizz, with a pleasantly bitter finish. Aroma is a little dull. Ninkasi continues to impress.
