This beer is a big flavorful Northwest IPA that maintains its drinkability, and as such, has garnered great admiration from the novice craft drinker and the seasoned hop-head alike.

The aroma is rather lovely smelling of grassy fields and flowers. The palate was completely lacking for me. There was very little carbonation despite the head holding for a while and the mouth feel was just like water. There is a slight flavor of mango at the beginning but that gets completely lost in the blind bitterness later. The bitter flavor is piney and resiny. The beer does look great in a glass being a nice shade of light amber with a slight haze and the head created a fine lace and gave over lots of aroma.

Draft at Mels. Very good IPA; some sweet orange and steely fizz, with a pleasantly bitter finish. Aroma is a little dull. Ninkasi continues to impress.

Pours a translucent golden-orange into the glass with a nice eggshell head that diminishes to a thin ring of suds that leaves window-wash lacing. The nose of fresh, wet hops and pale malt. Flavors are well-bittered throughout the pull, of fresh hops, pine-like and woody. An abundance of pale malt lends a toasted cracker essence with lemon and pepper, finishing with a nice, appropriately lingering bitterness. Although for the "novice" and "experienced" hophead alike, the balanced citrus and bitterness makes for a nice pull. The body is medium-full with active carbonation to the palate, supplying a substantial and complex mouthfeel with a relatively easy quaff. A very nice example of the Northwest IPA style, staying pretty much true-to-form while appealing a wide variety of craft brew enthusiasts of varying "levels".

Pours a slightly tinted honey, sticky white head. Aroma is sweet resin, florals, pine. Nice creaminess on the tongue yields to a slightly peppery bite. A bit astringent at times. Bitter citrus and biscuit. Decent.

Bottle at home. Pours clear orange with a small, frothy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is heavy herbal, dank and catty hops with cracker malt and light pineapple esters. Flavor is heavy dank, sweaty, catty and herbal hops and bitterness with crisp cracker malt and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tulip glass. The head is a heavenly pillow of clean, white, creamy bubbles. The color is a cloudy vibrant orange. The nose opens aromas of orange peel and blossoming floral. The flavor comes off a little biscuity with a citrus kick in the middle. The finish is a sappy pine that is long and dry.
