3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a pitch black color with a tan head that leaves spotty soapy looking lacing. Smells of roasted malt, chocolate, oatmeal and slight vanilla. Tastes of the same things in the smell but the vanilla is more noticeable in the taste. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy and slightly chewy with decent carbonation. Overall its just as good as the original oatis maybe slightly better since vanilla is added and its well blended unlike what the last reviewer said.
Drank with Kaspar and Lennart @ Piet Huisman 14-07-17. Liked it a lot. Full character. Very heavy on the lactose vanilla kind of thing. Comprehensive taste. Torrefacto (1675) - Madrid, SPAIN - JUN 28, 2017

Bottle. Black with a thick beige head that leaves nice lacing as it recedes. Aroma is super roasty with cocoa, chocolate, and vanilla. Taste is bakers chocolate, roasted oats, cocoa, and vanilla. Body is creamyish and somewhat thin for the style. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 16, 2017
22oz bottle. Small beige head atop moderately sweet, roast, some vanilla, light earthy. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, some vanilla, roast, earthy/grapefruit, light cherry. Light-medium body, low carbonation. Thisis12ptfont (1191) - Los Angeles, CA, California, USA - APR 17, 2017
Aromas of dark malts, ashtray, charcoal, tobacco, toffee, toasted bread, dark grain malt and faint vanilla. Pours pitch black with a thin brown foam. Taste offers chocolate, mocha, malt syrup, grain malt, toffee, toasted dark malts, dry coffee rinds and very subtle vanilla. Finishes with sweet coffee, caramel, mocha and dried out bread. Overall, pretty solid offering with a unique nutty, chocolate bread twist to it. B rating.

Hints of coffee on the nose. Pours black, viscous with dense clingy caramel head. Upfront charcoal quickly followed by the vanilla. Lovely soft mouth feel. The charcoal returns on the finish but never intrusive.

Draft... Delicious! Black with beige head. Very nibby from start to finish... But not just the cocoa and vanilla but a nice coffee character, nuttiness too. Good stuff. thorongil2 (3072) - , Ontario, CANADA - FEB 3, 2017
(Tap) clear, bright, very dark brown colour with a medium tall brown head; intense aroma of chocolate liqueur, vanilla; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish
